IFTTT is amazing, awesome and definitely beautiful!

So you want to know what it is? yes you do. So let’s see what IFTTT is: IFTTT is a service that enables users to connect different web applications (e.g., Facebook, Evernote, Weather, Dropbox, etc.) together through simple conditional statements known as “Recipes”.

You can learn more about how IFTTT works and how to use it here, but to summarize the service’s main work and idea of existence, let’s go with some examples: When you add a photo into instagram, you want it to be downloaded into your Dropbox or when you Favorite a tweet in Twitter, you want that to be added into your Pocket account for later reading or when there is snow tomorrow in your city, you want to get a message! Amazing isn’t it?

For more examples you can check here.

It is simply working as it is shown below:

How IFTTT Works

Simply it is compromised of two parts: Trigger and Action, which then they together make the Recipe. Trigger can be explained with an example: If I left home and Action can be explained with an example: Then turn lights off; which together provide us the recipe: If I left home then turn lights off

You don’t believe me? Just try it here by creating an account: IFTTT
